In Good Hands

Lynn Jaffee offers up some great suggestions on how to be an acupuncture expert.

I think one of the things that differentiates an expert from the rest of the pack is their ability to make you feel that you’re in capable hands. Expert authors and filmmakers and speakers do it with a commanding storytelling “voice” that pulls you inside a story–you just give yourself over to the journey. Expert practitioners do it when they create a sense of confidence that they can help.

Part of that sense you get of “being in good hands” comes from the poise and mastery that experts have-they’ve done what they do long enough to be exceptional, and it shines through.

I can’t think of a better way to get this point across than this video. Just 80 seconds long. What’s interesting is that the first half looks like it might be the expert part. But it really isn’t…
